The world wants you to separate secular from sacred, keeping your faith out of the public square, out of public education and out of the workplace. The culture views your faith as subjective and is fine with it as long as you keep it private. That is in contrast to their version of truth in the public square which they regard as objective. This is a false dichotomy; don’t fall for it. There is no distinction between secular and sacred in life. All of life is to be lived for the glory of God (1 Cor 10:23-33). I used to view landscapers as a job one took when they had little education or opportunity, and when they had no skill to do anything else. Then, one day, I realized that gardening was the job God entrusted Adam with in Eden. I repented of my attitude and now view landscaping as a noble enterprise. All of life, even tasks that we may consider to be mundane, are to be lived for the glory of God. Johann Sebastian Bach is regarded by many as the greatest musical genius of all time. He viewed all music for the glory of God and made no distinction between secular and sacred music. Everything we do in life should be the glory of God.
