There is a symbiotic relationship between faith and reason. Both are necessary. For 2000 years, Christian tradition has insisted that Christianity is a rational faith. Faith without reason is fideism which over time can become superstition. On the other hand, reason without faith is rationalism which ultimately descends into nihilism (where everything is meaningless). (I argued earlier here that nihilism is fueling the current transgender insanity.)
J. Daryl Charles correctly and forecfully argues in his book The Idea and Importance of Natural Law: Fifty Questions and Answers that when reason abandons faith, the ultimate consequence becomes nihilism. This is what is currently happening as the culture decays.
