Bart Ehrman is a self-procalimed former evangelical who left the faith and became an atheist. He is well known for producing popular books with the flavor (and accuracy) of the National Enquirer, trumpeting so-called secrets that he claims were “hidden” by the church for millenia. Rubbish. Virtually everything that he claims was willfully hidden is well known and publicly documented in every modern English translation. Earlier I posted about Ehrman here.

In December 23024, he gave his farewell address (labelled a “bye-bye bash”) upon retirement as a professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. William Lane Craig answers Ehrman’s claims in his farewell address in this video. As one commenter wisely wrote, “Dr Ehrman has seen billions of trees in his time, but not a single forest.”
