There is another fascinating AI video here, this time regarding the Fall of Babylon and the rise of the Persian Empire led by Cyrus the Great. The historical facts presented are accurate with a few quibbles. For example, the video presents the OT book of Daniel being written centuries later than the time of the events it depicts, making the book a forgery (i.e., not written by Daniel.) However evangelical Biblical scholars believe the book was indeed written by Daniel who was an eyewitness to the events recorded in the book; there is a defense of that position here. Most importantly, Jesus himself recognized Daniel as the author of the book which bears his name (Matthew 24:15; cf. Mark 13:14).
It is noteworthy that the night Babylon fell, it was foolishly celebrating its affluence and accomplishments, oblivious to ongoing events. The video accurately presents the account recorded in Daniel chapter 5.
Revelation chapter 18 foretells the fall of another Babylon:
Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great!, She has become a dwelling place for demons, a haunt for every unclean spirit, a haunt for every unclean bird, a haunt for every unclean and detestable beast. For all nations have drunk the wine of the passion of her sexual immorality, and the kings of the earth have committed immorality with her, and the merchants of the earth have grown rich from the power of her luxurious living. (Rev 18:2-3)
Whether Rev 18 depicts a literal city or is representative of a world system is a question for scholarly debate. All nations and kingdoms rise and fall . . . with the exception of the Kingdom of God which reigns forever, a fact revealed in Daniel chapter 2. As the video argues . . . “this is what happens when a nation, city or kingdom forgets what made it great in the first place.” We see this truth playing out today in decaying and disintegrating cities and nations.
