Earlier I posted a link here to an astonishing video of the miraculous survival of the Lambert family as a powerful tornado obliterated their home. (If you have not seen that video, be sure to watch it first here; it is some of the most riveting video I’ve ever seen.) And now here is a follow-on video with the powerful testimony of Kasey Lambert and how God saved them as a tornado pulverized their house around them. She talks about her faith, daily devotionals and worship. If you don’t want to watch her entire testimony, she begins recounting her experience with the tornado at 16:00. It was a normal day and then all hell broke loose. She recounts her little boy being sucked out of her arms by the tornado, bricks falling on them, softball-sized hail, powerful unstoppable wind . . . she thought they were all going to die but it was as if God was saying the tornado could have the house and everything in it, but not the people. The tornado stopped over them and sat on their house for an excruciating 3 minutes. As the tornado begins to destroy their house, her little boy who is huddling with them in the closet, shouts to his mother that “This can’t be the end. I haven’t been baptized yet.” Her husband’s truck flew half a mile and her car was wrapped around a pole. And miraculously, the storm chaser (who wasn’t even supposed to be in Texas that day) shows up immediately after. “The Lord saved us.”
“You’re not promised tomorrow; everything you do matters.”
Psalm 46:1-2 states, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,” emphasizing God’s presence, protection and support during trying times.
