If you’re interested in an academic book on the timing of the rapture, I recommend Three Views on the Rapture: Pretribulatioon, Prewrath, or Posttribulation. Each position is presented and defended by a different professor.

• Pretribulation is presented by Craig Blaising, former executive vice president and provost of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
• Prewrath is presented by Alan Hultberg, associate professor at Talbot School of Theology and one of Biola’s resident experts on end times theology.
• Postribulation is presented by Douglas Moo, New Testament scholar who taught for 23 years at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Illinois and served as Blanchard Professor of New Testament at the Wheaton College Graduate School from 2000 until his retirement in 2023.
